George Tudor Campean
George is not just a passionate collector, but a true explorer of extreme tastes and the driving force behind the ardeiaprig.ro project. His passion for peppers took root from a simple question: “What makes a pepper special?”
He started with a few plants in his garden and a lot of curiosity. He wanted to understand what makes a regular pepper different from one that completely changes your day.
Years later, curiosity turned into an impressive collection – over 600 rare and exotic varieties , many of them hard to find anywhere else in the world. With patience, experimentation and respect for nature, George created a true “greenhouse of diversity”, where each pepper has its own story: from the Carolina Reaper, the champion of spiciness, to old Romanian varieties, preserved for their authentic flavors.
What characterizes George is not just cultivation, but the desire to test, compare and understand every nuance of taste. Together with Gelu, his partner in culinary adventures, he constantly explores recipes, textures and intensities to better understand the potential of each variety – including when tasting or creating Hot Market sauces.

At ardeiaprig.ro we offer a complete selection of products dedicated to authentic taste enthusiasts, amateur growers or farmers who want special varieties. Our range covers the entire year, but certain products are strictly linked to the growing season and cannot be delivered outside of natural production periods.
✔️ Pepper seeds
Available all year round, our seeds come from rare varieties, carefully bred and selected from our collection of over 600 varieties. Each sachet contains viable, tested and hand-harvested seeds, suitable for both those who grow in the garden or solarium, and for those who want to test exotic varieties in pots.
✔️ Seedlings (in season)
Seedlings are only available in the spring, when the plants are sufficiently developed and the temperature allows for safe transport. They are grown locally, under controlled light and temperature conditions, so that they are vigorous, healthy and ready to be planted in the garden or in the sunroom.
✔️ Fresh peppers (in season)
In summer and autumn we offer fresh peppers, hand-picked at maximum maturity, to preserve their aroma, color and intensity of taste. Depending on the season, you can find sweet and fragrant peppers, aromatic varieties suitable for cooking, but also extremely hot varieties, appreciated by collectors and lovers of culinary challenges.

Why do we do this?.. Because we want everyone, no matter where they live, to have access to rare, healthy and authentic varieties that would otherwise be lost or almost impossible to find. In Romania there are passionate, curious, growers and explorers of tastes who deserve quality products, accurate information and real support.
